Can I order folders in custom sizes?
Yes, non-standard sizes are available. Simply share your size requirements when requesting a quote.
What paper stocks are used for presentation folders?
Standard folders are printed on 100lb cover stock. Additional options include textured, linen, and kraft card stocks in various thicknesses.
Which parts of a folder can be customized?
All sides are customizable. This includes the front cover, back cover, pockets, interior panels, and pocket interiors.
How many panels can a presentation folder have?
Two- and three-panel folders are most common, though additional panels may be possible depending on size and layout.
Do folder panels have to be rectangular?
No. Custom die-cut shapes can be applied to panels for unique designs.
What pocket orientations are available?
Folders can have vertical or horizontal pockets. Some options may vary depending on folder style.
How many pockets can a folder include?
Two-panel folders can include zero, one, or two pockets. Three-panel folders can include up to three pockets.
What is a spine in a presentation folder?
A spine is added space along the fold to accommodate thicker document stacks. It can also be added to pockets for extra capacity.
What does gate fold mean?
Gate fold folders feature two side panels that fold inward toward a wider center panel, opening like doors.
Can gate-fold folders include pockets and card slits?
Yes, pockets and business card slits can be added to gate-fold folders, typically on the center panel.
Are linen folders different from textured folders?
Linen folders are a type of textured folder. Various textured stocks are available, including linen finishes.
Can legal-size folders be made with three panels?
Yes. Legal-size tri-panel folders and custom folding styles, including gate fold, are available.
What are media and press kit folders?
Press kits are specially designed folders used to organize press releases, company information, brochures, and inserts for events and product launches. We can also assemble complete press kits.
What is the difference between debossing and embossing?
Embossing creates a raised surface, while debossing creates an indented impression.
What is the difference between Spot UV and Flood UV?
Spot UV highlights specific design areas, while Flood UV coats the entire folder surface for a high-gloss finish.
What does 4/0 vs. 4/4 printing mean?
4/0 means full-color printing on one side only. 4/4 means full-color printing on both sides, including interior areas.
